Who is thegalaxydreamer?

Hi, I'm Shreya, or many of you may know me as thegalaxydreamer. I'm a brown, queer, asian bookworm, and book blogger who loves to read or you can say devour diverse books, mostly where the main characters are kicking patriarchy and misogyny out of the galaxy (all puns intended). You can find me simping for characters that do not exist or if not that then I might be blasting BTS discography somewhere, they're all bop btw. 

My reading journey is not a very long journey to talk about, but it certainly has been an interesting one. The passion for reading was ignited in me because of my grandparents who used to read me stories when I was a kid every day, and those worlds became mine unknowingly. They understood me better than the real world (we all can relate I know). Slowly my reading preferences changed with time, from cute animals and moral stories to pretty daggers and saving the world, the moral faded away, why am I so proud while telling this, anyways.

The studies became hectic during high school and eventually, I had to devote more time, the reading became less of a priority. But the reader in me never died, sneaking in the libraries during lunch hour to feed the hunger of words, it did become slow but never stagnant. After graduating high school FINALLY I was able to hop on the latest book trends and series again and joined *drumrolls* bookstagram. 

Bookstagram is an adventure, to be honest, you can call it a full package of self-discovery, where you discover your tastes in reading and in people, full of fun, bookstagram is an amazing place to be at, you meet people with similar tastes like you, and sometimes you do not. Anyway, it's always an adventure like I said.

But then I realized that bookstagram is alone not making the cut, I needed something that would be completely mine, where I can rant, talk, cry anything without a word limit, and then I decided to make this blog, it's been more than a year now, and I'm still loving it.
